The 3 Behaviors that Always Inspire

We often think that inspiring leaders are those who deliver rousing speeches and have larger-than-life personalities. While this might be true in some cases, there are three behaviors every leader can exhibit that are at the heart of inspiration: trust, caring, respect.
When people believe you trust them, they feel a sense of responsibility. People with a sense of responsibility are more willing to take ownership.
When people believe you care about them as individuals, they feel secure. Secure people are more willing to take initiative.
When people are treated with respect, they feel confident. Confident people are more willing to stretch themselves in pursuit of goals.
Every leader wants a team of people who will take ownership, take initiative, and stretch themselves. Trust. Caring. Respect. These are the foundation.
